Daniel Cruz Lattimore, PhD

Cincinnati, OH

Dr. Daniel Cruz Lattimore is passionate about creating and maintaining psychologically safe workplaces that encourage people to be their best selves. Through cultural humility, empathy, and collaboration, he helps his clients create a blueprint for building a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

As a researcher, practitioner, and armature stand-up comedian, Daniel is interested in the intersection of humor with racial experiences in the workplace. His research has focused on the impact of humor as a moderator between racial microaggressions and work volition for Black men. He has also investigated perceived barriers to opportunity for female employees in the government. Seeking to have an impact beyond the workplace, Daniel has been a part of community collaborations to drive the improvement of DEI practices for underrepresented populations.

As a coach, Daniel seeks to uncover, appreciate, and build upon the individuality of each client he works with. He devotes time to understand their unique lived experiences, their environmental context, and their personal characteristics to build a solid foundation for their partnership. Through open dialogue, he guides his clients to identify goals that are meaningful to them and to map a concrete plan that bridges the gap between their current and desired future state.

Daniel’s calm and affable style allows him to easily create rapport with his clients. He is able to quickly create a welcoming and accepting space that invites the leaders he supports to be their authentic selves and to explore how to overcome obstacles and barriers to reach their work and career aspirations.
